Beginning of Yoga-
According to Yoga- In the beginning, there was only darkness. Then comes light which was a sound OM.
And OM is given to rising for knowledge which got compiled on Vedas. According to Vedic knowledge, there are four Vedas,- Rig Vedas, Sama Vedas, Yajur Vedas, and Atharva Vedas. After that, there are four sub-Vedas,- Ayur Veda, Artha Veda, Dhanur Veda, and Gandharva Veda. After that, there are 6 limbs and after that, 6 sub-Limbs. Each of 6 sub-Limbs one is Yoga.

Types of Yoga-
There are many types of Yoga,- Gyan Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Raj Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Shiva Yoga, Naad Yoga, Laya Yoga, and many more.
How old is Yoga-
Rig Veda is one of the most secret and oldest books of Human history. It's about 8-10 thousand years old and Yoga is a part of this Vedic literature. Maharishi Patanjali considers being the authority on Yoga. Propounded Yoga nearly 5thousand years ago. Lord Krishna and many other Great people of India have also spoken about Yoga. In the middle age practice of Yoga confines only to the Royals and it was taught the student in gurukuls after passing a test. In the recent year by the many spiritual and religious leaders of India, the doors of Yoga have been opened for the common people and to each to every human being on this planet.
What is Yoga do-
Yoga is the union of body, mind, and spirit. The individual to universal, Yoga is realizing the connection between the finite to infinite, the manifest and the un-manifest. Yoga is bringing harmony to thought and did.
Different between Yoga-
Maharishi Patanjali says 8 limbs of mainly- Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharma, Dhyana, Samadhi. Somehow in today's Yoga is become a sociated with an only physical posture where is the central teaching of Yoga is maintaining and Equanimous state of mind.
